Remote Site Reliability Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop tools for application and performance monitoring
• Automate and streamline operations and processes
• Contribute to system architecture design
• Communicate, escalate and follow up as appropriate to ensure that problems are solved
• Improve system and security monitoring throughout our trading platform
• Work closely with the senior system engineer to influence decision making and implementation efforts

Requirements

• Help expand the observability of systems to improve their reliability
• Help to improve and refine our approach to ensure we deliver quality indices in a predictable manner
• Focus on automation, including operational tasks, deployments, configuration management, etc.
• Provide support day to day and and follow up with resolution
• Help to build up SRE team
• Provide phone or remote support in the non-office hour in case required
• Open to working shift hours

Preferably:

• Experience with customer facing distributed systems in a high uptime 24-7 environment
• Proficiency programming and/or scripting languages
• System configuration management experience with automation tools
• Experience with DevOps tools, processes
• Expertise analyzing complex application, database, network, and OS issues across a distributed large scale customer facing system
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively across multiple business and technical teams
• Familiar with Cloud solutions such as AWS, Google Cloud, etc.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL database systems
• Experience with monitoring tools such as NewRelic, Sumo Logic, Datadog, Bugsnag, etc.
• A strong interest in working in crypto, technology or financial environments
• Experience in working on flow of blockchain, trading in crypto/equities/FX is a plus
